Mirrors have been used as tools for image creation since renaissance. Today, new media take over the functions of mirrors. Mirrors have the ability to show us the space in which we are standing. They return our images back to us in real time. For Vilém Flusser video is a mirror that can be played back, it is a mirror with memory.
Virtual worlds have existed for a long time but the current increase in use of mobile smart-devices offers the possibility of producing virtual worlds in any environment. The project Air Tagging is a platform which allows individuals to communicate in a visible/invisible space. By using a portable device an individual can read visual material that other individuals have placed at various locations around the world. Images can be posted directly from a mobile device or from a PC. When a person is looking through the mobile camera, she can see interventions that others have superimposed onto the live-video stream. (The mobile browser Layar – downloadable from http://layar.com – allows users to find various items based on augmented reality technology.)
The Air Tagging application itself is not an art form.

”One only makes a photo to make a photo, and if you're lucky, you will discover it later for a painting.” Thus reads the inscription on the cover of Gerhard Richter's Atlas. The unresolved split in the heart of historical avant-garde movements is on the rise for the third time. The suspicion towards the meaning of the image – “... a photo” – and the rejection of the senselessness – “... if you're lucky” – is elaborated in the archive as an artistic medium. The atlas consists of art projects conceived in the same context – time, space, at the joint meetings – but also independently from one another, each left to its author to “breath life” into it. Right now!

The interactive video installation touches upon the problems of unreflected consequences that we produce with our habits and needs. Specifically, how do we with our needs and actions forge the destiny of animals. The viewer changes the videos that are being shown with the movement inside the virtual sensory field.
Eva Lucija Kozak:
The animation is based on the idea of simultaneous presence on several locations, which is achieved by means of new communication technologies. Fragmentation can be construed as a symptom of an ability that multiplies attention or as a scattering of the physical presence and attention.

Discovered, re-discovered, played and re-played. An insight becomes a sight, a mere observation of the world disappearing into shadows. An action only disrupts the beautiful spectacle of decay.

Formality overlooks the essence of the object. We need to trace the origin of the perception in order to reform, whatever the income. Reinventing the forms translates the form itself.

Aestheticization of an artifact, the AMG 65 automobile, reflects the social and bureaucratic practice of cataloguing and role determination. The flash of light that passed my 280.000 € (tax excluded) is accompanied by the poetics determined with an aesthetic gesture that transforms the remains of a write-off car worth 40.000 € into sublime artistic artifacts.
